The house turns its back to the street and opens to a courtyard at its centre. Every room has a door to the courtyard, and the courtyard holds the shade, the water and the evening meals.
Thick walls and small, deep windows keep the rooms cool without much mechanical help. The roof terraces catch the breeze from the sea.
