The pavilion sits on a narrow site between a park and a busy road. We lifted the exhibition rooms above the ground so the park continues underneath. A wide stair brings visitors up from the path.

The structure is in-situ concrete, left exposed inside and out. Coloured fins on the road side shade the workshops and give the building a face that people remember.

Every room has daylight from two sides, so the building needs little artificial light during opening hours.
