Linden Apartment
A city apartment rebuilt around one long wall of joinery that holds storage, books and the kitchen.

The apartment had good light and a poor plan. We removed three internal walls and replaced them with one piece of joinery that runs the length of the flat. It holds the coats at the door, the books in the living room and the full kitchen at the far end.
The palette is short: cream plaster, walnut, travertine and a dark stone for the bathroom. Every material is the real thing, with no veneers that imitate it.
Lighting is low and indirect. Most of it hides in the joinery and lets the rooms change mood from day to evening.
